 Congrats!

To Simon on his birthday--he just entered the double digits!

To Maddie and Max--who both got on the honor roll even though school was a big challenge on Zoom.

To Maddie who performed her piano piece perfectly for her Zoom music school concert.

 Winter Getaway

End of January and time for another little getaway, this time to Pine Mountain Club in Frazier National Park--an hour and a half from Burbank.

Car loaded, Sam staying home to work until the weekend when, hopefully, a snowstorm won't keep him from joining us.

Getting close but getting slick.  Jess adeptly puts on the chains.

We arrive.

The driveway is totally snowed, we park near the road, and Jess lugs all our supplies into a sweet but freezing cold house!

Jess had many conversations with the pellet stove, pleading for it to stay lit.

Max coaxes a fire into action.

We find a very well-equipped kitchen plus a pretty snazzy house!

Both kids bring their IPads for Zoom school.

Finally, happily, we get warm, cozy and relaxed.
