Backyard

 

Toby and I have been enjoying our backyard--staying in California an extra month means we're seeing more things bloom

 

 

like the poppies and tons of roses in the backyard

 

 

 

 

and the strange blossoms on what we think is some kind of fruitless olive tree.

The birds and squirrels love these.

while I paint in the studio, listening to Mozart

 

 

and a finch enjoys Rachel and David's new bird feeder.

 

 

And many crows--this one hung around all day, expecting something, don't know what!
