Loving the Party
I loved going back to Maddie and Max's wonderful little school, seeing all those 3-4 year olds again and watching Maddie celebrate her 4th birthday there. Face painting is a big activity at school.
including a mustache for the birthday girl!
In front of a rapt audience
Maddie delightedly acted out the birthday song
then served all her classmates with milk and pizza.
Sitting down to eat some herself with Max.
And Max making sure everyone realized it was Maddie's day. It was a wonderful morning! 4 seems so much older than 3. They're growing up so quickly.

Disneyland!
Revisited, for Theo and Toby, after umpteen who-knows-how-many years!
We got an early morning start--excited kids.
Our first ride was Ariel's Undersea Adventure in the new addition to Disneyland: Disney California Adventure. Maddie and Max were entranced.
Then a whirly lady bug ride,
and many more sights and rides. Maddie wore her Disney birthday button so that every employee stopped and wished her a happy birthday!
Still happy, but very tired, kids at the end of the day. Tired happy grown-ups as well.

Images
Chee Heng, who photographs my work, likes to play in Photoshop with the images I paint.
Some while constructing new pages for my website,
Others just for fun
like this floating flower,

Some while constructing new pages for my website,
Others just for fun
like this floating flower,
an alien spaceship that's really the top to a box,
the box orbiting a globe (which is really a platter),
drawers from various desks, cabinets, vanities that I've painted,
flowers extracted from different table tops,
strange angles on furniture,
plus opposing sides of a bureau. I love how he does it--an art in itself.
