Activity on the Chocorua Porch

A swaying Chinese red lantern,

THRIVING Thai Basil,

morning glories beginning to climb,

and two waiting chairs (guess who sits in which).

How do they handle TWO in Burbank?


by bouncing,bouncing, bouncing and talking, watching, talking

or

by front loading them.

And, when things get rough, they make funny faces

or cuddle them after a bath

A quiet day in Burbank...

Max slept like a baby,

Jess caught up on computer work,




Maddie sat quietly letting Sam contemplate the sawing of the big log (actually a root).

Theo arrives in Burbank and gets to meet marvelous Max! And greet magic Maddie! And settle in with cosy Sam and Jess. And just barely get a glimpse of elusive Oscar (the cat).

And Sam creating a garden out of a patchy, dry corner of the front lawn. The neighbor's dog Duke supervises.

And a visit to the pediatrician's office--a double visit with both kids checked. Maddie and Max are growing machines! Between the two of them they've gained inches and pounds.

Toby and Theo and Tulip amidst the Tiger Lilies which were very beautiful this year.

The theme for our storytelling group this weekend was to become someone from the 1900's era, so...


Theo became the first woman to climb Mount Washington (who knows who that really was or when that really happened),

and Toby dressed up as President Grover Cleveland.
The reality was that the only things we had in Chocorua to take for costumes were mosquito netting, binoculars, and big pillows to use for a paunchy stomach.

Before we left though, the sun came out, the lake water got warm, and we put in the dock and raked away lots of leaves. Tulip was the stick-from-the-lake remover (and also the stick-into-the-lake putter).

And for those of you who wonder, the Thai Basil is getting bigger!
