Max and Sam

Maddie and Jess left on Thursday so Maddie could be introduced to her kindergarten teachers and classroom on Friday.  Max and Sam stayed on until Sunday (two weeks ago) with many activities:

Swinging almost as high as Mt. Chocorua

IPadding in the tent,

Blueberrying with me

Hiking with Sam

Trying out the telescope

and resting after all those activities.

Then visiting Madison's erratic boulder--bigger than a house.  Huge, in fact. Unmovable.

And riding the little railway out of Silver Lake--catching a nap just at the end.

And, on Sunday, saying good bye at the airport.  It was a cozy time and really fun to get to know Max on his own--a little man who does a lot of talking, knows what he likes, is interested in every little insect on the ground, would have liked to have found and held 100 more small frogs, eagle-eyed the ripe blackberries, picked and ate them, and would snuggle in when tired.  What a good guy--and thanks, Sam and Jess, for bringing these sweet people to Chocorua!
